I wrote this song for my son, Franklin. He loves musical instruments of all kinds; guitars, piano/keyboards, drums (especially drums!), ukulele, harmonica, kalimba… he hasn’t met a musical instrument he didn’t like. So I took some of his earliest musical instrument toys that he would play with regularly and I incorporated them into the production of this song.

Home Jam Sessions: Casanova
Home Jam Sessions (Father's Day Edition): I Only Want To Be With You
Home Jam Sessions: I'd Rather Go Blind
I've had the pleasure of recording a few times with my friend, Marie Hopperstad, but this is the first time we've produced a video. I always love jamming with her because her voice is just so damned good.
The song was her choice, and she nailed it. Even though she gave me four days to learn how to play the tune, I didn't learn it until we were sitting in the studio (I'm a chronic procrastinator). It did take a few tries, so I think this is the third or fourth full take.
Home Jam Sessions: Strong Enough
My sister Hillary and I recorded this Sheryl Crow cover several years ago, and I stumbled across it today when going through my iTunes. Wanted to share. Hillary rocked the vocals, I played all the instruments. Brent did all the engineering. I just threw it into Logic Pro to juice up the output a little bit. Hope ya like it!
